Why did I choose my major?
Why did I choose my major?
Hello everyone! It been a while since my last post. Today I'm going to tell you a little about my major:
Since I was a little child, I got super into whatever that picked my curiosity and daydreamed about growing up to study such things, but I would rapidly move on the next topic of interest, abandoning the others until they got me interested again somehow.
But thinking back on it, I can see that most of my interest have been consistent about being kind of tied to design, even if at the time I couldn't have noticed. I think that studying Design was always one of the most likely choices for a career path that I could select.
Although, I must mention that I even until the day of enrollment, I still had no exact clue ad to what to study, because I was still interested in so many things like languages, history... even nutriology. Finally I left Design as a close second option but I choose an Art major instead. As you can tell, I changed my mind after two years an here I am now! Adapting to the change from how things worked at the Art faculty and here was difficult, and the pandemic didn't do any favors to that, but I'm noticing a positive change in my performance every semester.
Lastly, I wanted to mention that I think another factor in my decision was the fact that my oldest brother is an Industrial Designer and I grew up watching him making projects for college. Seeing a project in paper becoming a reality was and still is super hallucinating to me!
How interesting to study design, did it ever cross my mind to study that.
